Maslen & Mehra rivolgono il loro sguardo su Metropoli come Parigi e Berlino, boschi e foreste, spiagge desolate, svelando lati di queste reatltà che solitamente rimangono inosservate ma che vengono sottolinate grazie ad alcune presenze riflettenti, delle sagome scultoree che silenziosamente diventano protagonisti di un’invasione singolare. 
Persone e animali dal corpo di specchio, la cui presenza sembra bidimensionale, sostano immobili in luoghi reali, cambiando completamente senso al paesaggio che fa da sfondo.

TIM MASLEN è nato nel 1968 a Perth, nella Western Australia e risiede da anni a Londra. Ha studiato all’Università Curtin di Perth e alla Goldsmiths University di Londra.
JENNIFER MEHRA è nata nel 1970 a Londra, ha studiato alla National Art School di Sydney e al City Art Institute di Sydney. Tornata a Londra nel 1996 dopo aver vissuto a Hong Kong e Sydney, ha creato il VOID contemporary art space nel novembre 1997. VOID ha ospitato esibizioni di artisti locali ed internazionali per quattro anni.
